Apple Glasses have been rumored for months now and the product is expected to launch between 2021 and 2022. A new rumored also now suggests that there will be a Steve Jobs Heritage Edition” of the Apple Glasses. This comes from serial leaker Jon Prosser who mentioned this bit during a podcast for Cult of Mac. Prosser and Apple are working on a prototype for the Steve Jobs edition and it will apparently be similar to the $10,000 Apple Watch Edition. Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman. an experienced and well-known Apple Journalist and analyst, considers Prosser’s views on Apple Glass to be “complete fiction”.
Apple’s late CEO Steve Jobs donned glasses with circular frames throughout the years. The style will allegedly be replicated in a limited edition version of Apple’s upcoming AR glasses. The move would mirror other past special edition items from the company notable a $10,000 gold iteration of Apple’s first-generation watch.
According to the frequent leaker, Jon Prosser, who has reported several other pieces of intel on Apple’s augmented reality glasses, the company will release a limited supply of Steve Jobs Heritage Edition glasses once the devices are unveiled.
The Technology to pull off such a design could have been acquired by Apple back in 2018 when it purchased Akonia Holographics. The Company produces displays for AR glasses.
