Over the Moon is a musical adventure feature movie about a girl who builds a rocket ship and blasts off to the moon in hopes of meeting in the legendary Moon Goddess. The movie will be released in 2020 theatrically in China and by Netflix around the world. This show is written by Audrey Wells, produced by Gennie Rim and executive produced by Janel Yang. Songs will be written by Christopher Curtis, Majorie Duffield, and Helen Park.
Shanghai-based Pearl Studio is currently in production on Everest to be released worldwide through Universal Pictures in 2019. The company was recently operated as a joint venture known as Oriental DreamWorks, which co-produced Kung Fu Panda 3 as the first American Chinese animated co-production.
Pearl Studio and Netflix have tapped Oscar-winning production house Sony Pictures Image worked as the lead animation vendor for feature Over the Moon, directed by Oscar-winning animation legend Glen Keane.
