Homeland is an American spy thriller television show developed by Howard Gordon and Alex Gansa. this show is based on the Israeli series Prisoners of War. The character of Carrie Mathison is on trial in the final hours of Homeland. Yes, I am speaking about the arrangement wherein she is being thrown under the bus via ludicrous charges.
On the first point, much of tonight’s episode, “The English Teacher” feels like what we’ve come to traditionally expect from latter-day Homeland with its emphasis on ticking clocks and spectacular White House ineptitude that could result in global catastrophe.
Perhaps that is a credit though to showrunners Alex Gansa and Howard Gordon then. For all of Homeland’ missteps over the years, and there have been many, the series was initially conceived to be a more plausible melodrama about intelligence gathering in the post -9/11 War on terror years than the pair’s far more ridiculous and jingoistic 24.
It’s only available on Netflix in the United States through boxsets on the Netflix DVD subscription service. Season 6 of Homeland arrived on the boxset in February 2018. All 7 seasons are streaming on that add-on which requires both a Hulu subscription and the additional showtime add on.
Homeland season 8 is the final series of the long-running show, which the first aired in 2010. It features 12 episodes and airs weekly at 9 pm on showtime in the US, where the big finale is scheduled for April 26.
You can watch Homeland season 8 in a number of countries around the world, but if you find yourself stuck abroad during these difficult times, you’re likely to find that geo-blocking prohibits you from accessing your usual streaming services.
