Netflix has not yet ordered The Letter for the King Season 2. If streaming service adheres to its usual renewal and cancellation schedule an official decision will be announced approximately three to six weeks after March 20, 2020. The season 2 productions for 6 new episodes could theoretically commence later in the year.
It’s likely that Season 2 may not premiere until the latter half of 2021 and if not early 2022.
The Letter for the King season 1 finale, the main journey works out as expected. Yet there’s a significant bend that includes one man being reconceived and a youthful Dagonaut fledgling being murdered in a fight.
The last snapshots of The Letter for the King season 1 show that a group of feathered creatures has made an extraordinary formation, once that gives off an impression of being none other than the murkiness that is Prince Viridian.
The season 1 also finished with a cliffhanger that will help in setting up the upcoming season. As all the fans know that the book on which The Letter for the King is based on, also has more material than this fantasy show could ever fully utilize in its 2 series. It may be helpful to mention that the classic Dutch novel The Letter for the King is based on has a sequel The Secrets of the Wild Wood. While the season 1 of this show is only loosely based on the Tonke Dragt novel there is more source material to either pull from and be inspired by should Netflix choose to continue on with this story.
