Netflix just released a documentary about two Los Angeles natives Estevan Oriol and Mister Cartoon. Netflix documentary LA Originals didn’t get the splash debut it wanted at the canceled SXSW film Festival, so now It debuts on the streaming service without much fanfare.
The release date has been officially confirmed from the production. It’s expected that progress might delay due to the outbreak of COVID-19.
LA ORIGINALS – The documentary premiered on April 10 with It’s official Netflix synopsis reading, Photographer Estevan Oriol and artist Mister Cartoon roots into gritty art, impacting street culture, hip hop and beyond.
The movie features some well-known celebs and their experiences visiting Cartoon’s tattoo parlour. The New York Times reports that A-listers like Mark Hoppus from Blink-182, Kobe Bryant, and Snoop Dogg all share their testimonies on the two artists.
The audience are also showing their love for Netflix’s new edition. As of April 13, the documentary has managed to make the top ten trending list, sitting in seventh alongside movies like Ocean’s 8 Love Wedding Repeat, and the Healer. The show looks quite positive with much potential feedback from the critics. IMDb rating of the documentary show is 7.5/10 and Rotten Tomatoes, providing 97% which some quite good for the documentary sho.
The show contains many popular celebrities. The cast included in the show is Estevan Oriol, Mister Cartoon, Eminem, Snoop Dogg, Cypress Hill, Blink-182, Michelle Rodriguez, Wilmer Valderrama, Scott Cann, Terry Cres, Danny Trejo, and George Lopez.
