Indiana Jones will be directed by James Mangold and the story by David Koepp and Jonathon Kasdan. This movie has been pinned to the board for 14 years. This has been a hell of a wait for a movie; the movie has suffered a lot many things from the change of directors to change of scripts.

Lucasfilm’s Indiana Jones 5, which is still locking down a deal with new director James Mangold (Ford v Ferrari, Logan), will now be releasing on July 29, 2022. The movie was originally scheduled for release on July 9, 2021. At the moment, the movie is set to open up against an untitled Marvel Movie from Disney.

The story in the movie will be a sequel, and a follow up to the crystal skull, which was the last film in the franchise. It will most likely have Karen Allen as the wife of jones and will be most likely partaking in the adventures. The film might also include Jones’ son, who was played by Shia LaBeouf, but his involvement with the films is still unclear.

So what is the story of Indiana Jones 5? Your guess is as good as ours, but at least take comfort in the fact that it won’t involve Mutt. What we do know is that George Lucas, who created the Indiana Jones character and has had a hand in the story of each installment thus far, will likely not be involved with this latest sequel. Lucas sold Lucasfilm and the rights to Indiana Jones and Star Wars to Disney in 2012 and has in large part stayed away from the franchises he created ever since.
