Former Emmerdale star Samantha Giles has been suggested that Bernice Blackstock should have been killed off. Back in November, Bernice said goodbye so that she could help her ex-husband Charlie in Australia. They speaking Inside Soap, Samantha said that she felt Bernice could have had a stronger exit storyline and that saving her dir might achieve that.
She will be left last year after her latest stint and he indicated that it will be her last adding that she was disappointed with the way she went and felt it would have been a better exit for the character if she had been killed off. Speaking to Inside Soap, she will explain: if she had been killed, perhaps I’d have got a better exit story, as it was a little disappointing.
I said to the producers I don’t be mund what they did because I think if you say that you’re going, you can’t then say, Og, don’t be kill me, though, she said. So I wouldn’t have to be minded if they had killed me off. But they wanted to leave it open. So that’s really nice that she’s not dead.
The Emmerdale star explained that when she will decide to leave the soap she told producers she didn’t mind how she would leave. Samantha said: No I said obviously, I don’t mind that they did because I think if you say you’re going you can’t then say don’t be kill me though.
Samantha who first joined the show in 1998 added that she was be starting to feel a bit stifled playing a comedy character, and wanted to explore different roles. It was very tiring, she said of filming her final scenes. It was full-on, filming all those emotional scenes. It really takes it out of you.
