Chris Hemsworth has opened up about his joy at having brother Liam Hemsworth back in Australia, following his split from Miley Cyrus. Liam and Miley had been on and off for 10 years, before getting married in a surprise ceremony and then calling it off eight months later.
Chris revealed that Liam is living a healthier life since moving back to Australia after the divorce, telling Newsdotcom.au that Liam is now the fittest Hemsworth brother: ‘I think he’ s done it. Did you see the Men’s Health cover? I thought, “Not bad kid. Not bad.” He’s out there training and staying fit, and back in Australia doing his thing.
‘It’ s Australian living, I guess. We got him out of Malibu!’
Since his split, Liam has been in a new relationship with Gabriella Brooks, with a source previously telling people: ‘Liam and Gabriella have spent a lot of time in Australia together. [It’s] getting serious’.
Liam also opened up about the lifestyle changes he made since moving back to Aus, telling Men’s Health: ‘These last six months, honestly, for keeping my head level and just staying balanced, I’d say exercise has been big for me’.
When asked if his focus has been on ‘rebuilding’ after his divorce, Liam laughed and admitted: ‘yeah, that’s a good way to put it.’ Chris and his wife Elsa Pataky’s comments following Liam and Miley’s split also suggested that they were glad the relationship had run its course.
Elsa told Hola! after the news broke: ‘My brother in law, well, after a relationship was he dedicated 10 years, he’s discouraged…… but he’s taking it well. He’s a strong guy and he deserves the best. I think he deserves much more. Family is always there to protect you.’ He and his brother are so close and he’s really been there for him to give him the strength he needs.’
