Samantha Miller and Aric Hutchinson got married on a beach in Folly Beach, South Carolina, on April 28 with Miller dying shortly after their wedding
They were looking forward to a beautiful future together. But what should have been one of the best days of their lives turned into a terrible nightmare when a suspected drunk driver hit the golf cart they were in as they left their wedding reception.
Miller, who was 34, died from her injuries just hours after saying “I do.” Hutchinson, on the other hand, was rushed to the hospital with serious injuries and had to have multiple surgeries. Annette, Hutchinson’s mother, set up a GoFundMe page with the goal of getting $100,000 to pay for Miller’s funeral and her son’s medical care.

Bride Samantha Miller killed and groom injured in Golf cart crash
Miller and Hutchinson were leaving their wedding dinner in a golf cart driven by Annette’s son-in-law Benjamin Garrett and grandson Brogan Garrett, according to the GoFundMe page. As they were being led out of the wedding hall, Jamie Komoroski, who was driving 65 mph in a 25 mph zone, hit them from behind.

The impact sent the golf cart over 100 yards away and made it roll over several times. Miller died from her injuries, and Hutchinson broke a lot of bones, hurt her brain, and had other serious injuries that needed a lot of surgery. Benjamin and Brogan Garrett were also hurt in the crash, and Benjamin’s injuries were very bad.
Bride’s sister reflects on Samantha Miller’s happiness

25 year old Komoroski charged with felony DUI and reckless homicide
Komoroski, who is 25 years old, was caught at the scene and charged with three counts of felony DUI and one count of reckless homicide. The results of her test to see how much booze was in her blood have not been made public yet.
