After transgender bodybuilder Praveen Nath tragically committed suicide, his wife Rishana Aishu too tried to commit suicide by ingesting naphthalene balls. She is now being treated at the Thrissur Medical College Hospital.
Prior to her suicide attempt, Rishana appeared in a live video, expressing her intention to end her life as well.

Unfortunately, Praveen Nath, the husband of Rishana Aishu, died in the evening after ingesting rat poison and being ten to the medical college. In a complaint to the DGP and chief minister, the transgender community claimed that internet media had contributed to Nath’s suicide and called for judicial action against perpetrators.
Nath had been suffering from depression, allegedly due to false rumors on social media that he had separated from his wife. Who was Rishana Aishu?
Rishana Aishu is an Indian beauty pageant-turned-model and is renowned for being the wife of the late transgender bodybuilder Praveen Nath. She has been in the news because she tried to te her own life, a few days after her husband committed suicide.
She is also a transwoman. After being in a relationship for more than 2 years, she married Praveen Nath, a transgender bodybuilder, on Valentine’s Day of this year.
Her husband Praveen wrote history in 2021 when he won a gold medal and was named Mr. Kerala in the transgender division of the state bodybuilding competition. In Mumbai in 2022, he also made it to the finals of the international bodybuilding competition. In addition to being active on social media, Rishana Aishu’s husband assisted others in the LGBTQIA+ community by working with the Sahayathrika organization in Thrissur.
Nevertheless, Praveen recently stated on social media that he was leaving the relationship following an argument with Rishana Aishu. Even though he quickly removed the post and emphasized that it was made in a hurry and that they were still together, breup rumors circulated on social media.
