The 30-year-old basketball coach, Muach Y, was last seen on Saturday morning. According to the agency, he walked away from his home in the 300 block of Southwest 10th Avenue. They shared the missing detail on Twitter and urged people to reach out to law enforcement with any leads.

A friend of Y’s confirmed that he went for a run before going to coach the AAU team. He was also expected to be at a basketball tournament on the weekend but never made it to the game.
According to the police’s confirmed description, he is 6’4’’ and 165 pounds and was wearing workout clothes at the time of his disappearance. He left his phone, wallet, and Apple Watch. According to his family, he always wore that.
Who is Muach Y?
Y hails from South Sudan and is one of the beloved seventh-grade travel basketball coaches in Boca Raton. His family moved to the States from Sudan when he was 8. He later became a distance runner.
When he’s not coaching seventh graders in Florida, he works to build basketball courts in East Africa.
The Joint Search Efforts Ten By Friends and Family
Y’s friends and family came forward in search of him. They spent a whole day handing out flyers and urging neighbours to check their security cameras.
One of his friends said, “I am most worried that something did happen to him, you hear crazy things nowadays. It is a very tough situation to swallow or to even have that thought in someone’s head.”
Y’s Roommate Dropped Him Home Before He Went Missing
Muach Y was dropped off at his family’s Delray Beach residence on Saturday at about midnight, according to Delray Beach police. Y’s friend and roommate, identified as VanRoekel, told him that when he came back a few hours later, his best friend had vanished from their shared home.
VanRoekel claimed that he returned to the house at about 8 a.m. for pickup on Saturday and discovered Y’s phone, wallet, and keys still in the same location next to his Apple watch.
