Find out more about him.
On Saturday, what had been a joyous day of shopping at a sizable mall outside of Dallas quickly became a nightmare when a shooter opened fire, killing at least eight people and injuring seven more.
Who is Jose Sai Ortuno step-father of Mauricio Garcia Allen Mall Dallas, Texas shooter
The father goes by Jose Sai Ortuno. Like I said his FB has since been ten down. Tax records show that the home the media showed on 9209 Piper way belongs to Ortuno. The photo from his fb shows Mauricio and Christian. The photos showing a different “Mauricio” are inaccurate.

The perpetrator’s identity remained unknown until Monday when NBC News reported that law enforcement officials confirmed the shooter was Mauricio Garcia, a 33-year-old alleged neo-Nazi sympathizer.
Garcia was said to have been well prepared, sporting a pistol, an AR-15 assault rifle, and a tactical vest. The police discovered more guns and ammunition when they searched his car, underscoring the gravity of the situation.
To me matters worse, Garcia was wearing a patch on his chest that read “rwds,” believed to be a reference to the phrase “right-wing death squad,” a term commonly used in extremist online circles.
Later, Garcia was shot and killed by a police officer who was on the scene, yet the incident still counts as the second-worst mass shooting in the US this year and the second in Texas in the last week. In order to find out why Garcia was attacked, officials are interrogating Garcia’s friends and family as part of their ongoing investigation.
In light of these situations, Mauricio Garcia’s stepfather, Jose Sai Ortuno, has expressed his profound sadness over the incident and offered to provide law enforcement authorities with all of his assistance as they try to learn the truth. Since then, many people have tried to find out more about him. So, here’s what we know about him:
Who is Jose Sai Ortuno?
Jose Sai Ortuno is a Mexican national living in the USA. He has been in the news because his stepson, Mauricio Garcia, initiated a mass shooting inside a mall in Texas.
He is a native of Dallas and has been working as a drywall installer. Like others, he also condemned his stepson’s deeds. Ortuno expressed his sorrow over the entire incident, saying,
You know how people are feeling about this, this horrible thing. Believe me, it’s horrible. And it’s double for us.
The use of the word “double” seems to indicate the significant effects of the violence on Garcia’s family and the victims. Highlighting the family’s need to know what drove Garcia to do such heinous crimes, Ortuno continued,
We want answers, too.
