He is a native of Mainpuri, Uttar Pradesh. His father’s name is Ramesh Kumar Tiwari, who is a tailor, whereas his mother’s name is Asha Devi, who is a homemer. He has a younger brother named Raghav. He also had a brother named Rahul, who took his own life in May 2017.

Suraj Tiwari begins working for a Noida-based corporation after completing his education and graduating. Yet one day, on the way to work, he met with a tragic event that forever altered his life. He is presently studying for an MA in Russian at Jawaharlal Nehru University.

In the middle of the COVID-19 pandemic’s havoc, Suraj started studying for one of the most difficult tests. He passed the UPSC written test on his first try, but he came up short in the interview by a few points. In his second attempt, he again cracked the exam.
