Minyone Patterson is cooperating with the police department as they are searching for her 24-year-old son Deion, who shot and killed 1 person and also injured several people at Northside Medical Building which is situated in Atlanta.
After the suspect has been identified, the police officials revealed that he has had ‘minimal’ prior run-ins with them. “DO NOT approach him. He is considered Armed and Dangerous,” the police department has tweeted.
Police while at a press conference after the shooting mentioned that Patterson was followed by his mother at Northside Hospital Medical on Wednesday in the morning. ‘He became enraged and he came out with a handgun,’ Darin Schierbaum, Atlanta police chief stated.

Patterson is still on the loose. The department of Atlanta police, tweeted at 12:42 PM, “We are working on an active shooter situation inside a building on West. Peachtree St, between 12th St and 13th St. We are aware of the multiple people injured. No suspect is still in our custody. Anyone in the area is asked for securing their building and shelter in place. Anyone not in the area is asked to stay away from the place as we will communicate through the social media handles and on our website with the new updates.”
The Coast Guard has identified Patterson as a guardsman who has been enlisted in early 2018. He, however, was discharged in January of 2023. The surveillance pictures had been shown and they are telling that he was wearing dark pants and a gray hoodie while he had a mask on his face.
