Before facing the Punjab Kings in the IPL 2023, the Mumbai Indians gave Akash Madhwal his IPL debut.

Mumbai Indians defeated Punjab Kings by six wickets on Wednesday at Mohali after successfully chasing down the PBKS’s 215-run threshold.

With just 12 runs allowed in the 18th over and just 9 runs allowed by the PBKS batsmen in the last over, rookie Akash Madhwal excelled with his performance in the last three overs of the innings.

The right-arm bowler played in his first Indian Premier League game on Wednesday.

Madhwal was born on November 25, 1993, in Rourkee, the bowler is currently 29 years old with his height at 176cm.

Akash Madhwal received his primary and senior schooling at Roorkee Public Senior senior School in Uttarhand. He later went on to earn an honours degree in business there.

Akash Madhwal debut

He participated in his maiden Twenty20 game for Uttarhand on November 8 in the 2019–20 Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy.

He participated in his first game for Uttarhand in the 2019–20 Ranji Trophy on December 25, 2019.

He made his List A debut on February 21, 2021, when he competed for Uttarhand in the 2020–2021 Vijay Hazare Trophy.
