According to The Sun, his musical title is derived from the Spanish term for a featherweight, a boxing division. Pluma was inspired to name himself after Marco Antonio Barrera, who has a slender build similar to the rapper himself.

From there, the rapper began releasing songs in 2020, with his debut album, Ah y Que?, being released on April 20, the same year.

Peso Pluma Family And Background

Peso Pluma’s ancestors are from Zapopan, Jalisco, Mexico. On June 15, 1999, the 23-year-old rapper was born there.

The rapper, who grew up in a musical family, was a brilliant musician from an early age, learning to play guitar as a youngster.
