Mauricio Garcia has killed a total of eight people, and several others got injured before she was shot down by a police officer on Saturday afternoon. His motive still remains not known.
Investigators are looking into the possible white supremacist and neo-Nazi beliefs of Mauricio Garcia, a security guard and US Army veteran with him having no prior criminal record.
ABC 30 Dallas has reported that Mauricio served in the US Army and he was removed from the army in early 2008 due to some mental health issues.
The emblem on the shooter’s machinery hinted at a right-wing extremist ideology. Detectives discovered social media which was associated with the shooter and it was containing hundreds of images, with some writings with racially or ethnically motivated violent extremist rhetoric, and also material that endorse the supremacy of the white race.
In addition, detectives have also found that the mass shooter has also used a semi-automatic gun and had no other criminal record before. The shooter had a number of other weapons, a bulletproof vest, and lots of magazines.
Shoppers in a panic were captured on the camera shouting and hiding behind rows of vehicles in the parking area of the Allen Premium Outlets based in Texas. Employees, and customers, families with young children fled the large building and took cover in storage areas or back hallways, as per the reports by the witnesses who spoke to CNN.
In the photo which has been acquired by CNN, a gunman is seen lying on the ground which is just next to an AR-15-style weapon after being shot. He was covered in black body armor and looked like he had a number of additional magazines fastened to his chest armor.
As per Allen Fire Chief, Mr. Jonathan Boyd, at least nine people were sent to trauma centers, and two have passed away. According to him, Saturday night, three survivors were in very critical condition and awaiting surgery, while the other 4 were currently stable.
