Robert Levinson, a former FBI agent who disappeared in Iran more than a 10yrs ago. On Wednesday his family said that they believe he is dead !!!
according to U.S. officials received information has concluded that our wonderful husband and father died while in Iranian custody. We don’t know when or how he died, only that it was prior to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Levinson traveled to Kish Island, Iran, in early March 2007, according to State Department officials For years, US officials would only say that Levinson was working independently on a private investigation. he was retired FBI AGENT and working for CIA sent on a mission by CIA analysts who had no authority to run such an operation.
Levinson, who worked for 22 years as a special agent with the FBI, disappeared in Iran in 2007 while on an unsanctioned CIA intelligence-gathering mission. He is believed to be the longest-held American hostage, though Tehran has never acknowledged holding him.

Trump said, when asked about the update on Levinson’s status during a briefing on the coronavirus, he told reporters that the situation was “not looking good.” But the president refused to accept that Levinson had died, despite the finality of his family’s statement.
“No, I don’t accept that he’s dead,” Trump said. “It’s not looking great, but I won’t accept that he’s dead.”
Trump praised Levinson as a “great gentleman,” saying he had been “very much involved” in his case.

The Levinson family statement on Wednesday said they had recently received information from US officials that had led them to conclude he had died in Iranian custody.
“It is impossible to describe our pain,” they said. Our family will spend the rest of our lives without the most amazing man we have ever known, a new reality that is inconceivable to us. “His grandchildren will never meet him. They will only know him through the stories we tell them. “If not for the cruel, heartless actions of the Iranian regime, Robert Levinson would be alive and home with us today.
