The cast of Desperate Housewives is planning a virtual reunion to raise money for victims of the coronavirus pandemic, but felicity Huffman won’t be involved. Some 15 years after the popular noughties drama first aired, the ladies of Wisteria Lane will be coming together for a live episode of stars in the house to benefit The actor’s Funds COVID- 19 fundraisers.
As reported by Deadline, the mini-reunion will see Eva Longoria, Marcia Cross, Vanessa Williams, Dana Delany and Brenda strong get together nearly eight years since the Emmy winning show wrapped in 2012. However, Huffman will not be making an appearance on the special following her involvement in the 2019 college admission scandal.
The 57 years old actress, who played Lynette Scavo on desperate housewives, spend 11 days in prison last October for paying $15000 to have her daughter’s SAT exam result doctored.
Another notable omission from the reunion is Teri Hatcher, who has long been rumored not to get on with her fellow housewives.
During Huffman’s trial, series creator Marc cherry claimed that one of the stars of the show had big behavioural problems and refused to speak to her fellow cast members, but that Huffman had remained polite to her throughout. While cherry didn’t name the perpetrator, Longoria joked in 2018 that 99% of the cast had remained friends, mentioning Huffman and cross by name and not mentioning Hatcher or Nicolette Sheridan.
