Sofía Vergara Enjoys Evening with Family Amidst Personal Changes
The 51-year-old actress, Sofía Vergara, was spotted celebrating her sister Veronica Vergara’s special day on Saturday night.
Sofía was in the company of her niece, Claudia Vergara, her son Manolo Gonzalez Vergara, and close friend Margarita Heilbron at the popular Delilah in West Hollywood. Dressed in a pastel blue ensemble, Sofía complemented her look with a black handbag and matching heels. Veronica, her sister, opted for a verdant dress, accessorized with a black handbag.
On the same day, Sofía’s soon-to-be ex-husband, Joe Manganiello, was also spotted out and about. This was his first public appearance since the announcement of their impending divorce last month. The 46-year-old Magic Mike star was seen in Los Angeles post-gym, accompanied by the couple’s pet, Bubbles. Notably, his wedding ring was absent.
This comes after reports on July 18, confirmed by PEOPLE, stated that after seven years together, the couple decided to part ways. They expressed in a statement to Page Six, “As two people that deeply care for each other, we’ve made the tough choice to divorce. We hope for understanding and respect during this new chapter.”
Manganiello initiated the divorce proceedings on July 20, with “irreconcilable differences” listed as the cause. In the documentation available, he pointed to July 2 as the date of separation. Responding on July 26, Vergara echoed the same reason for their separation in her legal documents.
Both have a pre-existing prenuptial agreement, which will guide the division of their collective assets and any spousal support considerations. Manganiello’s filings reveal he retains individual assets, which encompass select jewelry and other valuables, plus earnings from various stages of their relationship.
A recent report from Page Six mentioned that Manganiello will be retaining custody of their 10-year-old Chihuahua-Pomeranian pet.
