This article will give readers information about the wife of controversial Attorney General, Ken Paxton, Angela Paxton.
Warren Kenneth Paxton Jr. is an American lawyer and politician who has served as the Attorney General of Texas since January 2015. Paxton has described himself as a Tea Party conservative. Paxton was re-elected to a third term as Attorney General on November 8, 2022.
He was born on December 23, 1962, in Minot, North Dakota, United States.

In his 2022 run, he faced a Republican primary opponent on May 24, George P. Bush, whom he defeated 68% to 32%, thus winning his party’s nomination to advance to the 2022 Texas Attorney General election. He previously served as Texas State Senator for the 8th district and the Texas State Representative for the 70th district.
Paxton has been under indictment since 2015 on state securities fraud charges relating to activities prior to taking office. He has pleaded not guilty. As of 2022, he is not standing trial. In October 2020, several high-level assistants in Paxton’s office accused him of “bribery, abuse of office, and other crimes”.
After the matter was investigated by federal prosecutors in Texas, in February 2023 the investigation was assumed by the Justice Department in Washington, D.C.
After Joe Biden won the 2020 U.S. presidential election and Donald Trump refused to concede while making false claims of election fraud, Paxton aided Trump in his efforts to overturn the result, from filing the unsuccessful Texas v. Pennsylvania case in the U.S. Supreme Court to speaking at the rally Trump held on January 6, 2021, that immediately preceded the 2021 U.S. Capitol attack.
After years of scandal, criminal charges, and corruption accusations, on May 25, 2023, a Republican-controlled Texas House committee unanimously recommended impeaching Paxton. Within hours lawmakers had filed twenty articles of impeachment, including for alleged bribery, obstruction of justice, and abuse of public trust.
Who is the wife of Ken Paxton?
Ken Paxton is married to Angela Paxton who is an American politician from the state of Texas. As a Republican, she has represented District 8 in the Texas Senate since 2019. Paxton worked as a guidance counselor at Legacy Christian Academy in Frisco, Texas.
Angela Paxton introduced Senate Bill 860, which would allow her husband Ken Paxton, the Texas Attorney General, the power to issue exemptions from securities regulations. Billed as a consumer protection effort, the proposal would allow approved individuals to serve as investment advisers without registering with the state board. According to Angela, the bill to change state securities law “has literally nothing to do” with a criminal case charging her husband Ken Paxton with defrauding investors.
