Yaw Dabo has admitted that he was reluctant to reveal his real age during the interview he granted to Spanish media outlet Marca but integrity and credibility seized his faculties.
This online portal earlier revealed how the Kumawood actor cum football administrator went viral after a journalist from Marca in Spain interviewed him immediately following the thrilling Champions League match between Real Madrid and Manchester City, Yaw Dabo is currently trending on the Ghanaian online scene.
The Ghanaian actor reportedly watched the intense, 1-1 semifinal match between Real Madrid and Manchester City at Santiago Bernabeu after which he caught the eye of the unidentified journalist who was randomly interviewing soccer fans outside the stadium.
Dabo excitedly opened up about the subject in a fresh interview on Wontumi TV. The actor said when the journalist who was obviously impressed by his analyses and evaluation oozed about the game and proceeded to ask him about his age, he nearly lied.
“When the white man asked me about my age, I did not want to mention it. If you watched the video, I was a bit hesitant, I wanted to change my age but I reconsidered my decision because I was there to get help for my club.
“Some of these foreigners like truth and loyalty so I decided to say I am 24 years. The interviewer then said, ‘respect, respect’, and from there, we continued with the interview”, Dabo said.
