Anil Dujana, a notorious criminal, was recently killed in an encounter in Meerut, according to a statement from the Uttar Pradesh Special Task Force (STF). This represents yet another significant victory for the Yogi Adityanath-led administration’s campaign against organized crime and violence in the state.

The current operation comes after a spate of similar acts by police enforcement, including the previous month’s Jhansi encounter in which gangster-turned-politician Atiq Ahmed’s son Asad was killed. Later, three gunmen killed Atiq Ahmed and his brother, Ashraf Ahmed, in a shooting.
Anil Dujana was long regarded as one of the most dangerous and infamous gangsters in western Uttar Pradesh. He had 62 cases filed against him, including 18 counts of murder, extortion, and other serious crimes, including land grabbing and theft.

Who is Anil Dujana?
Anil Dujana was a notorious Indian gangster. He has been in the news because the Uttar Pradesh Special Task Force killed him in an encounter.
He carried a reward of Rs 50,000 and was booked in several charges, including National Security Act (NSA) and Goonda Act and a resident of Dujana village under Badalpur police station in Gautam Buddha Nagar district, the real name of Anil Dujana was Anil Nagar.
While his age wasn’t known, he was aged between 30-50 years and was a Hindu by religion.
He was a native of Dujana village in the Gautam Buddha Nagar district. After killing a guy in Ghaziabad in 2002, he initially caught the attention of the authorities. He was charged with killing Harbir Singh Pehelwan in the Kavi Nagar neighborhood.
However, Anil Dujana gained notoriety after he rained bullets on gangster Sunder Bhati. Later that year, he was detained. However, he continues to run his gang from jail.
