Horizon Forbidden West is the much more anticipated sequel to the critically-praised Horizon Zero Dawn and was confirmed at Sony’s PS5 games reveal event in June.
When the Horizon Zero Down released, it sold over 10 million copies on PS4 worldwide. After a superhit game, a sequel always works well. Now, Guerilla Games is trying to come back with this functional world to give us another fancy technical convention on PS5.
HORIZON FORBIDDEN WEST: RELEASE DATE
In the announcement trailer, there were no official details revealed regarding the release date of the game. Developer Guerilla Games has since released a short video affirming that the Horizon Zero Dawn sequel will release exclusively on PS5 in 2021.
GAMEPLAY AND FEATURES OF HORIZON FORBIDDEN WEST:
The creator revealed a three-minute glimpse trailer at the kinds of various landscapes you’ll explore in the upcoming game, and which evil machines you can expect to fight.
The trailer has also showcased that Horizon Forbidden West will mostly take place underwater, based on how much of a big deal the trailer makes of Aloy using her Scuba Gear, and the shots of underwater ruined states.

HORIZON FORBIDDEN WEST STORY DETAILS:
In a post on the PlayStation Blog, Guerrilla shared a teasingly vague synopsis for Horizon Forbidden West.
“Horizon Forbidden West continues Aloy’s Story as she moves west to a far- Future America to brave a majestic, but dangerous frontier where she’ll face awe-inspiring machines and mysterious new threats.”
But in the trailer, it seems like, the landmarks clearly show a post-apocalyptic San Francisco, with a Golden Gate Bridge that’s been overtaken by greenery, and the Palace of Fine Arts ruined and underwater. And we can also see that Sylens still has a role to play, and Aloy will meet other tribes as she explores this new world.
