Both Steven and Pfeiffer were icons of show business. The three-time Oscar-nominated actress Michelle Marie Pfeiffer was one of Hollywood’s most successful names and a prominent sex icon of the 90s. She landed her breakout role as Elvira Hancock in “Scarface” in 1983. With her roles in “Witches Of Eastwick”, “Married To The Mob”, and “Dangerous Liaisons,” the actress went on to become one of the highest-paid actresses of the 1990s. In 2018, she became a part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe as Janet Van Dyne in “Ant-man and the Wasp.”

The Oscar-winning producer, director, writer, and actor Fisher Steven, is known for his iconic role like Ben in “Short Circuit” 1 and 2, Chuck Fishman in “Early Edition” and his portrayal of Marvin Gerard in NBC’s “The Blacklist.” Steven and Pfeiffer began dating in 1989 when the duo starred in The New York Shakespeare Festival’s Production of The Twelfth Knight.

After the duo met on the sets of “The Twelfth Knight,” they were instantly attracted to each other. According to sources couple took a trip to Paris early on in their relationship, and the Short Circuit actor fell “violently ill.” What was thought to be a setback on their romantic trip to Paris became a blessing in disguise, for it brought the couple closer. Michelle was completely in love and took great care of the actor. According to Kenneth Johnson, the director of “Short Circuit”, Steven said, “She was terrific.”

When love blossoms, fate only brings distance. This was true for the couple as Steven was a New Yorker, whereas Pfeiffer was based in LA. The couple had love for each other, but they were opposites in their nature. According to her Rolling Stone interview, Michelle described Fisher as a travel fanatic. She said, “ He lives out of a suitcase. He loves to travel. Despite their differences, the pair was always supportive of each other. Like all good things come to an end, so did the iconic couple. In 1992, the couple went their separate ways after nearly spending three years together. Commenting on their breakup, Steven told People, “ I’m hurting. I’m a raw wound.” As for the reason behind the breakup, some tabloids reported that Steven was caught with a 17-year-old, which led to the separation. However, according to Steven, “There were tensions.”

Later the actress came public with her breakup and said she desperately wanted to be a mother, and her desperation only complicated her relationship. She figured she did not need a man to become a mother. and adopted her daughter Claudia. Some say the pressure of being in a public relationship and their demanding career have also played a role in the breakup.

The 64-year-old actress has had a list of admirers during her time and even now. The sex icon of the 90s was everyone’s dream girl, but only a few got the chance to be her man. Michelle met fellow actor Peter Horton in an acting class in Los Angeles, and the two began dating and got married in 1981. The couple had a brief relationship as there was news that Pfeiffer had a month-long affair with her “Married to the Mob” co-star Alec Baldwin in 1987.

In 1988, the actress had another affair with John Malkovich, her co-star in “Dangerous Liaisons.” At the time, John was married to his wife, Glenne Headly. In the same year, Pfeiffer and Horton decided to go their separate ways, and two years later, the couple officially got divorced. Horton stated that the reason behind their divorce was their devotion to work and not their failed marriage.

A year later, in 1989, Pfeiffer dated actor/director Steven Fisher for three years until they parted ways. The couple met on the sets of The New York Shakespeare Festival’s Production of The Twelfth Knight. Their three-year relationship remains iconic to date. Unfortunately, fate had other plans for them; the pair separated in 1992. Fisher is currently married to producer Alexis Bloom.

Pfeiffer married David E. Kelly, a television writer and producer, in 1993. Pfeiffer always wanted to be a mother and adopted daughter Claudia Rose in March 1993. A year later, in 1994, she gave birth to a son John Henry Kelley II.
