The Flash movie is still a thing that’s happening apparently. Not only that, but fans of the DC Superhero should expect an update on it in the near future. In the post easily have his own standalone movie by now. But up to this point, the fastest man Alive has to be slow to the party. However, that now may be turning them around with a new update from The Flash producer Barbara Muschietti.
Before the announcement of The Flash’s forthcoming news broke, DC has been teasing and promoting other upcoming projects such as the Wonder Woman 1984, Aquaman 2, and a Suicide Squad sequel. As of now, the film is been set to be released on June 2, 2022, and will be directed by Muschietti’s brother, Andy. It will be seemingly starring Ezra Miller once again as The Fash and will be executive produced by Zack Snyder and his wife, Deborah.
Over the year, several writer-directors have been linked to the project, including The Lego Movie’s Phill Lord and Chris Miller, Seth Grahame-Smith (Dark Shadow), and Dope’s Rick Famuyiwa. Each one is departed before the official production could begin. However Famuyiwa came closet, casting Easy’s Kiersey Clemons as Barry’s love interest iris west and Billy Crudup as his father Henry. It’s will be believed that Clemons will no longer be a part of the movie, while Crudup’s involvement remains uncertain. Currently, Its script is being developed by the Birds of Prey Writer Christina Hodson.
The problem is just that will be the case, then…well we’ve already seen this lame-duck version of the Flashpoint on the Flash TV series, haven’t we? Why would be want to rehash that unsatisfactory approach again? so maybe Muschietti and co actually have been something really unexpected up their sleeves. Something that will still borrow elements of Flashpoint, but do a better job of it than the TV series. We may not behave too long wait get first hints as to the plan as Muschietti has now the also be confirmed that he will start shotting this year for a 1 July 2021 release.
