Rick and Morty released the final episode of season 4 on Sunday, May 31. While fans were excited to the finale to be released this means there are no new episodes being shown every week. Fans had to wait 2 years between seasons 3 and 4 so many are now eager to find out if the difference will be just as long for season 5. After the end of season 4, this means there are still another 60 new episodes of Rick and Morty to come.

But we are expecting the show to arrive far, sooner than the 2-year gap between the end of season 3 and the start of season 4 in November 2019.
Still, some news is better than no news the half-season break bisected season 4 was interminable so the pace should pick up nicely, even with the spectre of the Coronavirus pandemic looming large over the creative process.
As far we know, the Rick and Morty season 5 cast will remain exactly the same as those that have come before it at least in terms of the main players. Expect to see some popular faces crop up too season 4 saw the likes of Taika Waititi Sam Neil, and even Elon Musk drop on by for bit-part roles.
This is all to say that it’s unclear when a new upcoming season of Ricky and Morty would release. If Roiland is right and production can speed up with a new deal in place, then it could certainly arrive as early as the middle of next year.
