Resident Evil 8 is officially confirmed to be in the works by Capcom and, with Resident Evil 3 Remake already come and gone. A new leak even suggest It’ll be out by 2021, but more on than in a bit.
Resident Evil 8 is the upcoming chronological entry to Capcom’s smash-hit survival horror series, and would theoretically follow the studio’s 2017 first-person shooter set in the Baker’s house of Horrors. Resident Evil 8 spoilers have started to swell just weeks after the release of Resident Evil 3, which saw players briefly return to Raccoon City in the shows of Jill Valentine.
Early Spoilers have floated a ton of tidbits, including the idea that it could be exclusive to PS5 and Xbox series X, and may not necessarily follow the first person format adopted by 2017’s Resident Evil 7 Biohazard.
The story followed Leon Kennedy as he fought against the Los illuminates cult in Spain, and saw a departure from the tittle’s desolate survival theme. The game has since received the porting treatment, appearing on platforms such s the Xbox, PS4 and Nintendo Switch after its initial PS2 release.
