Netflix has released the first trailer for its new adult animated show The Midnight Gospel. Rick and Morty‘s fans have been eagerly awaiting new upcoming season 4 episodes since Rattlestar Ricklactica premiere on December 15.
Earlier this month, fans were given a 15-second teaser clip on the show’s official Twitter account, though there’s still no word yet on when it will return to our screens.
This show is co-created and executive produced by Ward and Trudell. Te Midnight Gospel centers on Clancy, a spacecaster with a malfunctioning multiverse simulator who leaves the comfort of his home to interview beings living in dying worlds.
The Midnight Gospel is so chock full of overwhelming eye-catching animation that you’d be forgiven for forgetting that this show probably has a storyline and According to Netflix, that storyline follows Clancy, a space-caster who uses a multiverse simulator to interview beings living in other worlds and While Cartoon Network allowed Ward to work his particular brand of offbeat magic with Adventure Time for 9 seasons, It’s clear that Ward just itching to unleash his wildest project with Netflix, which has shown an affinity for envelope-pushing adult-oriented animated projects like BoJack Horseman, Tuca and Bertie, and Big Mouth.
