A dead character is;t be simply going to be rebooted in the future of the Marvel Cinematic Universe in the wake of the Avengers: Endgame, according to co-writer Christopher Markus. Whether that’s a good or a bad thing largely depends on one’s personal view. However, Marus has some pretty inarguable logic to back this up.
Iron Man is been getting somewhat of a reboot by Marvel but it’s got nothing to do with the MCU. Instead, the technology-assisted, a billionaire the superhero is been getting a brand new comic book series from the writer Christopher Cantwell and artist CAFU. The comic will see Tony Stark go back to basics for a new Iron Man #1 as he puts his high tech gadgets and high profile image to one side.
Iron Man has been used in a variety of different ways by Marvel Comis in recent years. He’s been killed, turned into the artificial intelligence, and led a robot revolution against his own brother. The new series will be the MAN back into the Iron Man armors. It remains to be seen how the Marvel intends to bring the Stark back, But given his recent history, It’s a welcome development. The new series will be written by Christopher Cantwell, Featuring art from CAFU with Ross designing Iron Man’s new look as well as doing a wraparound cover for the first issue.
I’m over the moon about getting a shot at writing the Golden Avenger, said Cantwell. Since Bob Layton’s art in the 1980s captured my imagination as a kid, I’ve been fascinated by the Iron Man, and in this new story run, I’m aiming to explore the question of who should Iron Man be today? An angel? A god? Or just a humble man? Tony going to try and strip the idea of the Iron Man all the way down to its metal core, something that will constantly be at off with his giant ego.
