Disney+ said that Hocus Pocus 2 is going to be released in 2020 itself. But now that everything from web series to movies is getting delayed due to the pandemic and you can expect it to release in 2021.
Many of the rumors indicate that season 2 will be filled with a lot of witchiness. The creators of the movie have been tightly lipped about the storyline and cast of the movie. Currently, Hocus Pocus 2 is in the works that will likely include the original cast in some way and will be released on Disney’s new streaming service Disney+. According to the report in March 2020, all three original Sanderson sisters are said to be fully expected to reach deals to return.
The COVID-19 pandemic likely ended hopes for any kind of 2020 release, although, production may still be able to kick-off before the end of the year with a 2021 debut in mind. Hocus Pocus 2 will be the sequel to the original movie and it will be on Disney+ instead of Freeform. The original movie was a family drama, but since Hocus Pocus 2 will be directed by Adam Shankman.
