Iron Fist is based on the Marvel comic character of the same name, Marvel’s Iron Fist is a based web television series created for Netflix by Scott Buck. The first two seasons were produced by Marvel Television with ABC Studios.
The first season was premiered on March 17, 2017, It consisted of 13 episodes. The first season, however, received a negative response from the viewers, but the third party analytics determined that the show has high viewership.
WHY IRON FIST CANCELLED?
On October 12, 2018, Netflix canceled the series even though Marvel wanted to continue the series for a third season. The negotiation between both Netflix and Marvel was delicate from the beginning. According to some source, the statement made by the reporters for Marvel and Netflix said
“Marvel’s Iron Fist will not return for a third season on Netflix. While the series on Netflix has ended, the immortal iron fist will live on.”
Further, Deadline Hollywood reported that Disney+ was taking a chance to resuscitates the series but was set back. Due to some contract and bond between Marvel and Netflix. This is such a bummer for the MCU fans as well as blooming fans who appreciated season 2 and were waiting for season 3. With a heavy heart.

The story revolved around Danny Rand, who returns to New York City after a long 15 years of being claimed as dead. After a plane crash, he survives and returns back. After coming back, he reclaims his family business. But threat always approaches, and he is left with choosing between his family legacy and his duties as the Iron Fist.
