Cobra Kai was previously set for the 2020 release date after YouTube revived the show for its season, Cobra Kai is going to be transferred to another streaming platform ahead of the season. The official release date for the next year has not been announced yet but it is expected to fall in 2020. Season 2 of the comedy-drama left the audience at a cliffhanger and season 3 is will kick directly from where it made at the season.
Although season 1 and 2 are still available on YouTube Premium, whether Season 3 comes on YouTube Premium and some new platform remains to known, Original agreements between the Google-owned streaming platform and Sony TV said that YouTube would be responsible for completing up to season 3, but would discontinue after that. There have been speculations though, that YouTube has been open to selling off the streaming rights to other platforms as well, once the License Agreement procedure with Sony TV is done.
The show picks up and continuos from The Karate Kid depicting the intense rivalry between Johnny Lawrence and Daniel LaRusso, season 1 had an interesting story twit, where there is a triangle formed with the new characters in the story.
Cobra Kai is written and executive produced by Josh Heald, and Jon Hurwitz and Hayden Schlossberg. Together the trio conceived the new Karate Kid storyline that picks up decades after the original movie.
The season ends with a devastating striker on the two dojos, while Daniel’s reputation was also completely tarnished, entirely hampering the career of Johnny because of sensei.
