Karate Kid sequel series Cobra Kai ha be found a new home in Netflix for its upcoming third season. The web series will begin on YouTube in 2018, though it was recently released back to be producers Sony Pictures will be Television as the video site pulls back from scripted shows. The first two seasons of the series spinoff of The Karate Kid film franchise will be available later this year on the streaming service, with an already filmed Season 3 to follow, Netflix announced Monday.

In one interview at San Diego Comic-Con last year, Micchio told EW.com that Daniel LaRusso will travel to Okinawa in Season 3. Something I can tease is that, albeit we have a lot of cleaning up to do based on the events of season 2, some of the stories will be driven into the origin of both Miyagi-Do Karate and Cobra Kai, the actor will be explained. Like, the beginnings of those two forms of martial arts, and we’ll learn stuff about both that we never knew. And that will be included LaRusso going to Okinawa, which is a piece of season 3.
