The American Football gods have spoken !! Tom Brady announced that he wouldn’t be playing in the 2023 N.F.L. season, which means he is retiring.
Tom Brady Says:
“I love my family. I love my teammates. I love my friends. I love my coaches. I love football. I love you all,” the 45-year-old captioned an emotional Instagram announcement on Wednesday, February 1. “I am truly grateful on this day. Thank you 🙏🏻❤️.”
In a video included in his post, Brady joked that he would “get to the point” right away. “I know the process was a pretty big deal last time, so when I woke up this morning, I figured I’d just press record and let you guys know first,” he said. “I won’t be long-winded. You only get one super emotional retirement essay and I used mine up last year.”
Brady thanked his fans for sticking by him throughout his career. “Every single one of you … my family, my friends, my teammates, my competitors. I could go on forever,” he concluded. “Thank you guys for allowing me to live out my absolute dream. I wouldn’t change a thing.”
Tom Brady is the quarterback of the Tempa Bay Buccaneers, and his decision came after a hard-competitive 2022 season that resulted in Bucs losing the game to the Dallas Cowboys in the wild-card game on January 16. The team’s record came to 8-10 after the loss.
Tom Brady’s fans were curious about what he was gonna do next, more precisely in the 2023 season.
He was first drafted in 2000 into the N.F.L. by the New England Patriots. Brady won the G.O.A.T. title after winning 6 Super Bowl titles and 9 championship games in his whole career of 20 years.
Brady’s fans were surprised in the Spring of 2022 when he announced that he would leave the Patriots to play with Tempa Bay instead of retiring.
“I wanted to say thank you to all of the incredible fans and Patriots supporters. M.A. has been my home for twenty years,” he said in a March 2020 statement. “It has truly been the happiest two decades I could have envisioned in my life and I have nothing but love and gratitude for my time in New England. … And Pats Nation will always be a part of me. I don’t know what my football future holds but it is time for me to open a new stage for my life and career.”
Then Brady signed a 2-year contract with Bucs, and in, in February 2021, took them to Super Bowl LV. After winning over Kansas City Chiefs, Brady proved once again how worth he is and took the 7th Super Bowl ring to his home – It is the most one players has ever received till now.
Brady wrote on Twitter in March 2022
“These past two months, I’ve realized my place is still on the field, not in the stands. That time will come. “But it’s not now. I love my teammates, and I love my supportive family. They make it all possible. I’m coming back for my 23rd season in Tampa. Unfinished business LFG.”
However, his comeback caused a problem in his personal life as it put a strain on his relationship with his wife, Gisele Bundchen. The iconic couple tied the knot in February 2009 and have two children together. Benjamin who born in 2009 and Vivian was born in 2012.
According to a piece of news confirmed by Us Weekly in September 2022, Brady and Bundchen hired a divorce lawyer in their marriage woes. The next month the couple announced that they were no longer together and divorced each other.
Fans will surely miss Tom Brady on the field, and he was one of the best N.F.L. players of all time. His career was wonderful from start to end.
