A talented 13-year-old girl with a ‘beautiful smile passes away just days after winning a football game with the cause of death of Kaylee Black not known

After hearing the devastating news that Kaylee Black, the Titans goalie for the Crusaders Football Club, had passed away at the young age of 13, only days after a significant victory, tributes were given to her. The tragic and unexpected passing of an Under-13s athlete has “devastated” the youth football club.

Tributes were made in honour of Crusaders Football team Titans goalie Kaylee Black as the team announced the tragic news on Monday night.
When asked for a comment a PSNI spokesman said: “Police attended the scene of a sudden death in Newtownabbey on Sunday evening, April 30th.” An official cause of death for the 13 year old is yet to be be given. The 13-year-old, who played for the club’s u13s team, sadly passed away after going missing on Sunday.

Official statement
Ronnie Millar, the club’s chairman, expressed his sincere sympathies and compassion to Kaylee’s family, friends, and teammates as well as the coaching staff. Kaylee was 13 years old. “Crusaders Football Club are devastated to hear of the sad and sudden passing of Crusaders Titans U13’s player Kaylee Black,” read a statement on the team’s social media platforms.
It was difficult to learn the news this evening because just last week, Kaylee and her teammates proudly displayed their U13 SBYL Trophy at the Crusaders Strikers season-opening game.
“Chairman Ronnie Millar wishes to extend his sincere condolences and sympathies to Kaylee’s family, teammates, friends, and coaching staff at this difficult time and asks that we keep them all in our thoughts and prayers as they adjust to Kaylee’s passing,” the statement reads.
The team has expressed its condolences.
The Crusaders Strikers contributed their own tribute and expressed how “deeply saddened” they were to hear of Kaylee’s untimely passing.
“Kaylee was goalkeeper and a valued member of our U13 SBYL league winning side, who lifted their trophy last week at our first team game at Seaview,” read the statement. During this difficult time, “our thoughts and prayers are with her family, friends, teammates, coaches, and everyone who loved her.”
Kaylee was described as a very talented, kind, well-mannered pupil with a beautiful smile by Ballyclare Secondary School, which also paid homage to her.
