With Season 2 of Hanna set to stream on Amazon Prime Video next month, Marissa Wiegler star Mireille Enos has discussed some tough challenges ahead. Speaking exclusively to, the Amerian Actress whose character was being played by Cate Blanchett in the original movie teased: I think the biggest challenge with Marissa this season is to start to be left that flavor of her maternal instinct, kind of like to seep through the cracks.
Last season the show lost one of its biggest stars, Joel Kinnaman after his character Erik (Hanna’s adoptive father) was being killed old. Asked about the filming season two without him, Creed-Miles admitted, It was different, but I think it was great for Hanna to be able to come into her own a little bit more, you know, without Erik’s shadow.
The second season introduces a slate of new characters. Mainely young women who are like Hanna-genetically modified teenagers born in a lab- but who will never escape the clutches of Uteax the shadow organization that’s training them to become assassins. Much of the more new season is set at The Meadows, the girls boarding school type building where be the Utrax trainees is being taken, and where they begin to develop their assumed identities for the outside world.
I found it a very Complex character to work on, he admitted, I didn’t always have or at least at first I didn’t always have all the pieces of the story, therefore I couldn’t be quite dial in the character. I have a high bar to meet, to pull in a character like this on a show like Hanna that b they made so well in season one. So it will be taking a lot of figuring, this part for what that’s worth.
