Celeb Moms Share Breastfeeding Struggles: It's 'Incredibly Hard' Says Amanda, Kardashian !!

Celebrities like Amanda Seyfried and Khloé Kardashian have openly shared their difficulties with breastfeeding. According to Seyfried, breastfeeding is an incredibly challenging experience that can leave new mothers feeling desperate.

In an exclusive interview with Us Weekly in April 2019, the Mamma Mia! actress revealed that breastfeeding was a hidden and closeted topic until recently. She encouraged more conversation around the topic, stating that reaching out to friends and sharing experiences can be immensely helpful.

Despite her own struggles, Seyfried has found a newfound love for passing on her knowledge to other mothers dealing with similar difficulties.

Numerous celebrity moms, including Amanda Seyfried and Khloé Kardashian, have spoken out about their struggles with breastfeeding. Seyfried revealed in an exclusive interview with Us Weekly in 2019 that she found breastfeeding to be incredibly challenging and that she felt there was still not enough discussion about the topic.

Despite dealing with her own struggles, Seyfried has developed a love for passing on her wisdom to other moms who may be going through similar experiences. Kardashian, on the other hand, struggled to breastfeed her daughter, True, for several weeks after her birth and ultimately had to switch to formula when her milk supply did not increase.

Despite trying various methods, including consulting doctors and lactation specialists, Kardashian was not able to produce enough milk for her baby and had to make the difficult decision to switch to formula. These stories highlight the challenges that many mothers face when it comes to breastfeeding and the need for continued discussion and support around the topic.

Amanda Seyfried

In 2019, Amanda Seyfried spoke with Us Weekly about the challenges she faced when trying to breastfeed her children. She revealed that breastfeeding was not an easy task and reached out to old friends for advice.

However, after overcoming her struggles, she now enjoys sharing her experience with new moms who may be going through similar situations.

In April of that year, she even offered advice on Instagram to actress Claire Holt who was experiencing self-doubt while feeding her first child. Seyfried recommended taking breaks and using a pump and bottle to relieve the pressure and stress of breastfeeding.

Khloe Kardashian

Being a new mom is hard, and Khloe Kardashian is certainly no exception. The Revenge Body alum had to switch to formula after struggling to breastfeed her daughter, True. “I had to stop breastfeeding,” Kardashian tweeted in July 2018. “It was really hard for me to stop (emotionally), but it wasn’t working for my body. Sadly.

I fought and fought to try and continue, but then when I actually stopped, I didn’t realize what a relief it was for me not to stress and worry anymore. Any sec I had of downtime, I was stressing to produce more for the next feeding.”

Olivia Munn

Mulaney’s spouse and the Newsroom alum welcomed their son, Malcolm, in November 2021. Breastfeeding was so awful after she was poor, Munn revealed on Instagram in January 2022, admitting that she had tried vitamins, teas, and lozenges in addition to taking numerous Lactaid dietary supplements.

Heather Rae El Moussa

In February 2023, the Selling Sunset star shared on Instagram about her first child, whom she had with her husband Tarek El Moussa one month prior. Heather expressed that she initially thought breastfeeding would be easy but quickly learned that it was a journey. Her son had a tongue tie, cheek tie, lip tie, and jaundice, but thanks to her lactation specialist and @tonguetietribe, they were able to catch it all early on.

Heather praised them as “baby fairies” and expressed how lucky she was to have found their knowledge and support. However, her son’s conditions made it difficult for him to latch and suck, which caused him to burn a lot of calories and drop weight.

Lauren Conrad

Conrad said during a May 2019 episode of her “Asking for a Friend” podcast that while she thought breastfeeding would be “natural” and beautiful, it turned out to be anything but simple.

“I felt like I was failing at something that should come really naturally, and it was really difficult for me,” Conrad said, revealing she felt “like a bad mom” for failing to breastfeed eldest son Liam properly.
