1. Crash Landing On You

Director: Lee Jeong-Hyo

Writer: Park Ji-Eun

Cast: Hyun-Bin · Son Ye-Jin · Seo Ji-Hye · Kim Jung-Hyun ; Ri Jeong-Hyeok, Yoon Se-Ri

If you’re a novice to K-dramas and are wondering what to do with your toes, Crash Landing on You could be a perfect choice. The hugely popular series hits all the right notes.

Crash Landing On You is one of the top movies you could watch on Netflix with your girl. The Korean series follows a South Korean heiress who accidentally jumps into North Korea. She is then discovered by a handsome soldier who promises to help her. It’s very romantic, clever, and easy to watch.

I love the comedy that continues to be constantly about the different perspectives between North and South Korea – all freshly produced and perfect. Each side is not spared and is maltreated. The goodbyes are painful, and the romantic moments are unforgettable.

This one is the most genuinely enjoyable series. The romance, the comedy, and the drama are all well mixed.

2. About Time

Director: Richard Whalley Anthony Curtis

Writers: Richard Whalley Anthony Curtis

Cast: Domhnall Gleeson · Rachel McAdams · Bill Nighy · Tom Hughes · Margot Robbie · Lydia Wilson · Lindsay Duncan · Tom Hollander

About Time is not only a love story but also a story of life. It shows a range of relationships that transcend the stereotypes of rom-com. The plot is enjoyable, the acting is excellent, and plenty of comedy.

Domhnall Gleeson and Rachel McAdams play the lead in this film, a love story of time travel that adds new depth and intrigue to this genre. Tim learns that males in the family can travel Time once they reach 21. Tim utilizes this skill to live the perfect relationship with Mary.

Despite the plot device of time travel, the story is centered around the father-son bond between Tim and his father and the great romantic relationship between Tim and Mary without being too lovey-dovey or romantic.

The selection of music for the film was just right and not overdone to convey the emotionally-charged scenes. The relationship between Rachel and Domhnall is convincing enough for viewers to see the two go through life as a couple.

The film’s message or overall concept about embracing the moment as if it were your last was not too imposing or preachy. So you can watch this movie with your girlfriend to spend your present with soft love.

3. To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before

Director: Susan Johnson

Writer: Sofia Alvarez

Cast: Lana Condor, Janel Parrish, John Corbett, Noah Centineo, Israel Broussard, and Anna Cathcart

You won’t find a better YA romance than To All the Boys We’ve Loved Before on Netflix if you are looking for a sweet, fun, and YA romance that will brighten your day with your girlfriend.

Based on Jenny Han’s novel, the story centers around Lara Jean, a teenage girl whose worst nightmares become a reality when five letters she sent to secret crushes go unnoticed.

Her former crush, Peter, is threatening her. She’s worried that this will hinder her progress with Josh. So, Lara, Jean, and Peter pretend to be together so they can find the one they want.

The two will naturally feel genuine affection when they pretend to be together. The film is an absolute joy and allows you to relive a time in your life when “liking” you was the most important.

Lara Jean Covey is a hopeless romantic adolescent. She writes love letters to her crush but never sends them. However, her letters are mysteriously sent to different recipients in one day. Drama ensues, and she must explain the situation to her crushes.

To All the Boys is a romantic movie praised for its variety, sincerity, and undeniable chemistry between Peter and Lara Jean. If you feel the genre is lacking in recent years, then To All the Boys that I’ve Loved Before might be the movie for you. It’s the perfect film you can watch with your loved ones on Netflix.

6. Set It Up

Director: Claire Scanlon

Writer: Katie Silberman

Cast: Zoey Deutch, Glen Powell, Lucy Liu, and Taye Diggs

Claire Scanlon’s set It Up by Claire Scanlon is a delightful romantic comedy that you’ll be hesitant to watch again from the previous decade. Two struggling assistants (Zoey Deutch and Glen Powell) decide to have the bosses (Lucy Liu and Taye Diggs) for some time away from their stressful work. They fall in love after all the scheming.

Although you can see the rom-com beats from a distance, they are done so well and efficiently that it won’t matter. The film’s star power is due to Powell and Deutch, who should be considered the streaming generation’s Meg Ryan or Tom Hanks.

Set It Up is not the most important or ambitious Netflix film. It’s still the film you will most likely watch repeatedly. Claire Scanlon’s romantic movie is one of the best in the genre. Glen Powell and Zoey Deutch play two overworked assistants trying to find their bosses. Surprisingly, they end up falling in love. It’s adorable!

5. Always Be My Maybe

Director: Nahnatchka Khan

Writer: Ali Wong, Randall Park, and Michael Golamco

Cast: Ali Wong · Sasha; Randall Park · Marcus; James Saito · Harry; Michelle Buteau · Veronica; Vivian Bang · Jenny

After years of never contacting one another, two childhood buddies, Randall Park and Ally Wong Reunite, are at different life stages. They must reconsider what a relationship might look like after a chance encounter.

Always Be My Maybe is a film from the year 2019. The film stars Park and Wong as childhood buddies Marcus and Sasha, who haven’t had contact since a brief fling in their teenage years that went wrong.

If Sasha is brought back to San Francisco to open a restaurant and the romance of their teenage years remains in the air, Marcus’s worries and Sasha’s fame and demanding job threaten their new romance.

In the final “Always Be My Maybe,” everyone is happy with their ending. Sasha, along with Marcus, is in love with Marcus, willing to carry her purse while she walks down the red carpet while performing with his group Hello Peril.

This is the best movie to watch with your girlfriend on Netflix because it will give a positive vibe to your relationship. Even if you have to stay away some days from your girlfriend, it doesn’t mean you won’t love both of them.

7. A Whisker Away

Directors: Junichi Sato and Tomotaka Shibayama

Writer: Mari Okada

Cast: Mirai Shida, Natsuki Hanae, and Hiroaki Ogi

A Whisker Away’s premise sounds completely absurd when it first comes to your mind. Miyo Sasaki is a girl in middle school who falls in love with Kento Hinode. She transforms into a cat to get closer to him using a mysterious mask.

Exactly! Ridiculous, right? It’s absurd. The film’s Japanese title means “Wanting To Cry, and I Pretend To Be A Cat,” which summarizes the plot more.

A Whisker Away is a charming story about love and self-love that transcends the initial awkwardness. Despite her bright smile, Miyo is a miserable girl who longs for belonging. The cute, whimsical, and visually stunning cat stuff is a great way to help Miyo find the right thing for her.

A Whisker Away is a fantastic romantic movie with beautiful art and well-constructed characters. It’s a must-see for lovers of romance.

7. The Lovebirds

Director: Michael Showalter

Writer: Aaron Abrams, Martin Gero, Brendan Gall

Cast: Issa Rae · Leilani; Kumail Nanjiani · Jibran; Paul Sparks · Moustache; Anna Camp · Edie; Nicholas X. Parsons

Do you want a romantic comedy that gives enjoyment to your girlfriend? Michael Showalter, the director of action-packed rom-com like The Big Sick or The Baxter, presents a thrilling tale of murder, mistaken identities, and mayhem.

Issa Rae, Kumail Nanjiani, and Smoke-show comedians star as Leilani & Jibran. They are a passionate couple who began out heavy and hot but have seen their love slowly fade. After a night of fun and bickering, it turns into a nightmare when the couple is arrested for hit-and-run murder.

These two must work together to get their names cleared after fleeing cops and crooks. They will discover their spark again, as well as how Rae looks in a unicorn onesie.

Jibran has been with Leilani for four years. However, a distracted Jibran hit a cyclist with his vehicle. The cyclist flees, and a man wearing a mustache takes control of the car. He claims he is a policeman and the cyclist is a criminal. The man chases down the cyclist and runs him over with his car. This leads to his death.

Jibran and Leilani are both killed in the attack. When he heard police sirens, the man ran away. Jibran and Leilani are terrified that their unbelievable story and racial profiling will lead them to be blamed for the crime and embark on a dangerous mission to clear their names.

The Lovebirds is full of action and romance. Jibran, Leilani, and their friends discover that breaking up might not be their best decision.

8. When We First Met

Director: Ari Devon Sandel

Writer: John Whittington

Cast: Adam Devine · Noah; Alexandra Daddario · Avery; Shelley Hennig · Carrie; Andrew Bachelor · Max; Robbie Amell · Ethan

This Netflix romantic comedy stars Adam Devine. He discovers that he can time travel back to the night and meet the woman he believes is his perfect woman.

They spent a fantastic night together before becoming close friends. He never revealed that he was in love. It’s not a novel plot, but it’s still fun and has a well-earned twist at the end.

“When We First Met” isn’t funny at all. The romantic direction of the movie is apparent from the first scene. Hint: this movie is the sort of film with only two female characters if one of them ends up being someone’s romantic interest also.

The film is adorable and is not a wrong choice to pass the time, although it does contain some humorous ideas regarding dating. The most charming part of the film is evident in the second part when Noah adjusts his course, and the story gets more entertaining.

9. Really Love

Director: Angel Kristi Williams

Writer: Angel Kristi Williams, Felicia Pride

Cast: Kofi Siriboe · Isaiah Maxwell; Yootha Wong-Loi-Sing · Stevie Solomon; Uzo Aduba · Chenai Hungwe; Tristan Mack Wilds · Nick Wright

REALLY LOVE is a travelogue about urban Black life in Washington, D.C. Slowly, the camera shifts from the general to the details of two young men looking for personal and professional fulfillment. Young and talented artist Isaiah (Kofi Siriboe) hopes Chenai will take notice of him.

Isaiah meets Stevie, a law student who hopes to work for a respected Chicago firm. Isaiah creates extraordinary images of his subjects, ordinary Black people, using what he calls distortion. He then layers thick layers of sculptural painting to make them unique.

Chenai encourages him but advises him to dig deeper and dedicate himself more fully to his work before she offers him a solo show or represents his work.

While well-meaning parents are there to support their children, a worried dad questions the practicality of creating art in a mercenary society, and a loving mom worries that her daughter will be distracted from climbing the professional ladder. The couple will soon be in bed together, regardless of their class, economic status, or race, and start to doubt the relationship.

We all know that relationships aren’t always perfect, and frequently when they are depicted in the context of Black fatherhood, families, and relationships, the focus is on negativity and dysfunction.

“Really Love” not only shows the difficulties of communicating and the challenges of understanding one another but also the capacity never to stop coming together. They highlight the challenges of maintaining relationships in an active life that are constantly changing. The portrayal of love in the film is genuine and soft, and the most important thing is that it feels natural.

“Really Love” is the ideal movie to see the real-life side of Black love, youngsters’ passion, the beauty of life, and the power of positive thinking.

10. Things Heard & Seen

Director: Shari Springer Berman · Robert Pulcini

Writer: Elizabeth Brundage

Cast: Amanda Seyfried as Catherine Claire; James Norton as George Claire; Natalia Dyer as Willis Howell; Alex Neustaedter as Eddie Vayle

Things Heard & See is an excellent movie on Netflix to watch with your girlfriends. Sometimes a little jump scare is all you need for a date night. This makes it easy to reach over and grab your partner’s hands when things get too scary. The Netflix movie stars Amanda Seyfried as James Norton. It is about a couple who moves to a cabin in the country where everything is not what it seems.

This is an excellent movie for winter movie nights when you want to snuggle up next to your girlfriend.

George and Catherine Claire are a young married couple with a tiny child set to move from upstate New York in 1980 in things they have heard and seen. George recently finished his doctorate and was awarded an art historian position at a rural area college.

The couple buys an old home on an abandoned dairy farm, and then strange events begin. The lights flicker, and strange scents emanate from the garage as well. Catherine and her child feel something is going on in the home.

Catherine starts investigating the house and discovers some of its past that is a bit shady. George is skeptical of Catherine’s work and becomes increasingly uneasy with her new friends with the locals.

George’s boss Floyd is part of a group who believes in spirits and provides Catherine assistance. They aren’t sure what the spirits’ intentions are, positive or negative, or their motives.
