Netflix has renewed the show for season 2. This series is based on Sherryl Woods’s popular series of novels published by Harlequin best friends Maddie, Dana Sure, and Helen as they juggle relationships. Sweet magnolias are Netflix’s second entrant in the Hallmark Esque romantic drama space, following the December 2019 debut of Virgin River. The show consists of 10 episodes season 1 released on Tuesday, May 19 culminating with a game-changing and potentially fatal finale for several of the show’s major characters.
Sweet Magnolias has a feel amazing Gilmore vibe, quaint and heartwarming, with a season 1 that meanders through touching but predictable family drama that is until we reach the finale.

Anderson won’t official confirmation on Nporeen’s return just yet but says, It is absolutely my plan and hope that everybody you loved in season 1 will be returned in season 2.
