As usual, all the lovely fans well know that Usagi Yojimbo, created by Stan Sakai, is coming to be a television for the first time. The CGI will be an animated series titled Samurai Rabbit: The Usagi Chronicles is the product of a collaboration between Netflix and Gaumont. This comic book first published in 1987, is stein the Edo period of Japanese history and they feature anthropomorphic animals. Instead, the series will be following his descendent, the teenage rabbit Samurai Yuichi, as he will strive to become a true Samurai.
The series takes place in the future, set in a world that will be mixes modern high tech images with classic Japanese references. It will follow the teenage Rabbit Samurai Yuichi, It will follow the teenage Rabbit Samurai Yuichi, descendent of the great warrior Miyamoto Usagi, on his epic quest to become a true Samurai. But he is not alone! He will be leading a ragtag team of misfit heroes including a roguish bounty hunter, a cunning ninja, an acrobatic pickpocket, and a faithful pet lizard as he battles depth charging moles.
The acclaimed comic series has been received a number of awards over the last three decades, they will be including parents’ Choice Awards, an American Library Association Award, and the YALSA (Young Adult Library Service Association) Awards. Usagi Yojimbo has been also been named on Empire Magazine’s Top 50 comic-book characters of all the time and Rolling Stone’s Top 50 non-superhero graphic novels.
