There is so much decline that superhero movies have been immensely successful in the past decade. Marvel with its Cinematic Universe has created more blockbusters than any other movie franchise in history. But we also live in a time where it seems like the superhero film industry has almost nothing new to offer, as they continue to churn out one reboot after another.
ABOUT BLOODSHOT MOVIE
This movie is Valiant Comics’ first big-screen adaptation and is intended to set up Valiant Comics’ superhero universe which will feature the titular character alongside several others.
The first film leaves Ray Garrison’s wide open for a new adventure. The movie doesn’t directly set up a sequel, which will allow the writer and director of a potential sequel almost complete freedom in crafting a story. The upcoming movie could reveal more information on Ray’s background or adapt the story where he decides to give up his nanite powers only to get them back when a group of imposters goes on a Killing Spree.
RELEASE DATE:
With the production of some movies delayed due to the coronavirus, it is impossible to say when a sequel might get released, it’s unlikely to go into production until 2021 at the earliest due to all the current filming delays.
WHEN WILL BLOODSHOT 2 BE RELEASED?
If the Bloodshot performance is high enough on the box office to warrant a sequel, the question that will come after figuring out the creative team of the film is when it will hit theaters.
The movie was released in the United States on March 13, 2020. But it was previously scheduled to release on February 21, 2020. While the film does have its fair share of flaws, it definitely marks a solid introduction of the Valiant Comics Universe. The critics have stated the film to be a pleasant surprise that has a lot to offer in with its fast-paced action-packed origin tale of an anti-hero.
