Queen of the South is an American crime drama TV series Queen of the South is all set to return for season 5. This show is created by M.A Fortin and Joshua John Miller, starring Alica Braga as Teresa Mendoza. After the release of its very first season return in 2016 the show has attracted a lot of audiences, and even it was compared with the likes of Breaking Bad. The show holds an amazing 7.9/10 in IMDb and 68% approval score by the critics and 92% audience ratings in Rotten Tomatoes.
WHEN WILL IT RELEASE?
Queen of South has already been renewed and began for its season 5. It had been expected for released in the United States on the USA Network in June 2020. However, the COVID-19 pandemic brought filming on the series to a halt on March 14, 2020. We would not expect season 5 on British screens until 2021 at the earliest.
THE CAST SCHEDULED?
The star cast members from season 4 are expected to return. She will be ably supported by other returning cast members including the recently absent James Valder as Peter Gadiot, Pote Galvez as Hemky Madera, and Alonzo Loya as Nick Sagar. Tony Parra as Julian Silva will not return for the fifth run as his character was killed off in an explosion during the season 4 finale.

The creators of the show recently released that James will be a bigger focus next season. Co-showrunner Ben Lobato discussed how James will make a splash in season 5. At the end of season 4, Teresa cut a deal with the Russian mob, and It seems like they will emerge as a major adversary on season 5. And that might not be the only thorn in Theresa’s side. We may still have a long wait ahead of us for Queen of the South season 5, but based on all the tidbits of details about the upcoming season, It looks like Teresa will once again gear up for the battle to protect her empire. Unfortunately, the last update from showrunner Dailyn Rodriguez has officially confirmed there will be a much longer hiatus between season 4 and 5.
