Congratulations are in order for The X Factor and BBC Radio 2 star Dermot O’Leary and his wife Dee Koppang. The host made the announcement on his Instagram page, then sharing a photo of a babygrow that featured the words Koppang O’Leary Production Est 2020. Dee captioned the sweet pictures: Welcome to the world baby Koppang O’Leary… We’re delighted to be announced that we’ve had a baby! A little boy born on Tuesday 23rd June 2020 (Sankthansaften/Midsummer for us Norwegians) at 8.19 am, weighing in a 6lb 13oz.
At the time, TV producer Dee revealed their struggle to get pregnant, describing the journey as a rocky road. In a heartfelt Instagram post, Dee wrote: Just wanted to say thank you so so much for all the lovely message about our new. It’s been a rocky road to get here, so I wanted to send lots of life to any of you who are on that journey.
The X Factor announced as taking this year off before the Coronavirus pandemic became, 2020 definitely seemed like the best time for them to start a family. At the time of writing, the pair have been not revealed the name of their child. Back last year, Dermot will be launched a new podcast called People, Just People, which features him having more informal chats a wide range of folks from the public eye.
Several of their A-lists pals were in attendance including Holly Willoughby, James Corden, Keith Lemon, and Fearne Cotton. Dee is a Norwegian TV & Film Director based in London who is also best known for her directorial work on The Crown. Meanwhile, Dermot has to be presented The X Factor since 2007 and hosts a Saturday morning show on BBC Radio Two.
