It’s not been great for those lucky enough to be have secured a ticket to the Star Wars Celebration event this Summer. The Convention was been scheduled for Thursday, Auget 27 to Sunday, August 30 at the Anaheim Convention Centre in California, but due to the Coronavirus Worldwide Pandemic, It has been Cancelled this year.
At Star Wars Celebration, the health and safety of our fans, attendees, exhibitors, guests, and the staff is been always our number one priority, the organizers said in a statement. Due to the global impact of the COVID-19 virus and in the speaking with local and state authorities on the latest public health guidelines related to indoor conventions, we have been made the decision to cancel Star Wars Celebration 2020.
This news is been disappointing, we are happy to announce that Star Wars Celebration will be returned to the Anaheim Convention Center on August 18-21, 2022. They will be added that any fans who have tickets to this year event could either receive a refund or credit for the ticket or if they wanted to transfer it to the rescheduled dates, they would be also be gifted a free exclusive Star Wars Celebration stormtrooper charter pin.
In the other news, Star Wars actor John Boyega, who will be played Finn in the Skywalker trilogy, has been speaking out about the death of George Floyd and the effect racism and police brutality have been had on the Black community.
