The SAO is a brilliant anime adaption of the non-japanese light novel show of the same name by Reki Kawahara and is very much popular in japan as all over the globe.
A more play named Kazuto enters the game he has been the beta tester before and soon becomes the leader and teams up with Asuna, who would later become his wife.
Season 3 of the anime will adapt the entire Alicization arc. Alicization is going to be a split-cour anime. Season 3 is going to have four hours so, there are going to be over 40 episodes at least. The show is currently on a hiatus for season 3, which started by the end of March 2019. Season 3 is supposed to have 48 episodes without considering special episodes. If season 4 gets a yes nod, it might be released in October 2020.
