Amphibia season 2 was first hinted in a Twitter post by Matt Braly on April 24, 2019, and was officially announced on May 15, 2019, One day after the official trailer was released and one month and 32 days before the show’s official release. It will release in summer 2020 stated by Braly himself possible during July and August. The series is produced by Disney Channel on Disney XD, season 1 of the show released in June 2019. The show was renewed for season 2 in May 2019 just one month before the series was launched.
Disney also released a spin-off of the show in the form of a series of short episodes. The mint episodes focus on Anne’s encounters with all sorts of things in Amphibia. It is also a short-lived one as the episodes have a very short runtime around 30 seconds to a minute.
