Doctor Strange is a 2016 American superhero movie. This film is based on the Marvel Comics character of the same name. This movie is produced by Marvel Studios and distributed by Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures. The movie was directed by Scott Derrickson. In Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, Benedict Cumberbatch will again don the cloak of Levitation for a new adventure that will take the Master of the Mystic Arts to the weirdest corners of the Marvel Cinematic Universe and quite possibly beyond.
Marvel Studio has officially announced that Sam Raimi’s sequel starring Benedict Cumberbatch’s Master of the Mystic Arts will now hit theaters on March 25, 2022, instead of November 5, 2021. When Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness was originally introduced at last summer’s San Diego Comic-Con, It was set to come out in May 2021.
Due to the COVID-19 Pandemic delayed major movie releases and put many productions on hold. Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness was still o track to start filming in June. Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness was bumped from its May 7, 2021, release date. Now it will come out March 25, 2022.
Derrickson wrote and directed the first Doctor Strange which made over $600 million at the global box office and was the biggest debut take for a Marvel character at the time.
Benedict Cumberbatch will be reprising his role as the Sorcerer Supreme, and Benedict Wong will be returning as his buddy Wong Chiwetel Ejiofor was hinted to take a villainous turn in a scene after the credits and it seems like he’s coming back too.
