“The Haunting of Bly Manor” has become a huge success for streaming Netflix giant. This popular Horror series is now an anthology series and is renamed “The Ghost of Bly Manor” in the upcoming season. The Haunting of Hill House was more than just some average haunted house show Based upon Shirley Jackson’s 1959 novel of the same name. the Netflix series delivered memorably creepy scenes and a few terrifying jumps scare. After the success of Hill House, maker Mike Flanagan decided to renovate his series and turn it into an anthology, titled The Haunting of Bly Manor will draw its primary inspiration fro Henry James classic 1898 horror novella The Turn of the Screw.
WHEN WILL IT RELEASE?
The Haunting of Bly Manor is set to release on Netflix sometime in 2020 Flanagan tweeted in April that Bly Manor’s release date should not be affected by the COVID-19 pandemic shutting down. The series has wrapped production, as creators, Mike Flanagan congratulated the cast and crew on Twitter. He later officially confirmed that post-production has not yet been impacted by the COVID-19 Pandemic. At the moment no reason to think It’ll be pushed, Netflix will announce the release date when they’re ready.
WHAT IS BLY MANOR ABOUT?
Bly Manor will be based on the Henry James novella, The Turn of The Screw is a ghost tale written in the late 1800s but it is unclear if Bly Manor will be a modern interpretation and whether it will also be set in the 1800s. The Haunting of the Bly Manor is the second story in The Haunting Universe the first being The Haunting of Hill House. We don’t have too many details and updates about the upcoming season but director Mike Flanagan has joked that more hidden ghosts have been discussed. There is no Bly Manor trailer just yet. Production for Bly Manor only recently wrapped and the season is still being worked on.
The Turn of the Screw: Ghost stories are told on a Christmas Eve night during a gathering of friends. One of the guests, Douglas, starts telling the story of 2 kids Flora and Miles, and the governess of his son. The governess soon is persuaded that the estate is haunted as unusual things happen inside the manor and the grounds.
