Lucifer season 5 happening? It’s the question everyone’s lips and we can finally confirm that yes. Tom Kapinos TV adaption of the DC comics series will return. But the news was received with mixed emotions when fans of the show were also that it would be the final chapter.
We re so incredibly thankful to Netflix for resurrecting our show last season and now letting us finish the story of Lucifer on our terms. Said showrunners Joe Henderson and tidy Todorovich. Most importantly we want to thank the fans for their incredible passion and support the best is yet to come.
Modrovich shared a letter to the show fans on twitter in which she addressed the news that season 5 would be it’s last. While we fell just as sad as many of you do that this marvelous ride is coming to an end, a fight won’t change things right now. We spoke to our partners at Netflix and Warner Bros and you would all know tremendous care and consideration was put into making this decision.
In fact, the whole reason that decided to announces that it was our fifth and final season simultaneously is that they knew how devoted and passionate our fans are and wanted to give y’all as much time as they could to accept and process the new. And for that, we’re incredibly grateful.
Usually, we can use our vast and far-reaching intellect to predict when a show is likely to air, but Lucifer is a whole different kettle of fish. Season 1 and 2 both aired back in 2016, the former at the beginning of the term, and the latter in September. Then season threw hit screens in October 2017 which, aa discussed previously looks like it would be the last before four dropped in May 2019.
